Our past is exactly what it says, it’s in the past! This means it has already happened, meaning it is finished.

Ok, but why is it still replaying over and over in the head, like a broken record or song on repeat?

Why does it feel so real and overwhelming?

How do I get rid of or change the story?


Let’s get into the past and what it is.


Anything that comes up from what we call the “past”, is a remembrance of an action or experience. These remembrances hold a lot of energy, that energy comes from a story.

Every experience we keep and hold onto is for a reason. Some are beautiful and wonderful and filled with smiles, laughs, tears of joy. Some are painful and fearful, feel horrible, overwhelming and sometimes can even bring on what can be called “panic or anxiety attacks”, depressive or suicidal thoughts and actions etc...

What makes the the beautiful stories and remembering different from the horrible, hurtful painful stories?

The beautiful rememberings are a remembered experience that hold no negative energy so to speak. No negative stories or energy attached, only lovely memories and feelings associated. These are fun when they come up and you just feel like you wanna share with everyone around you.

The painful stories are a bit different as they hold potent negative energy in the form of judgement, shame, blame, guilt and fear etc.... when these stories come up they seem to really take over and get overwhelming sinking into the stomach and taking the entire body into a type of shock and or shaking etc. Many different feelings and emotions come up and they are really trying to take over. Usually at this point we are already doing our absolute best to push this away. Sometimes other people try to help but it just makes it worse. Doesn’t matter what anyone says, it just seems to fuel the fire🔥.

This can be extremely intense and this is because we have closed off and buried the experience without consciously feeling what is truly being presented. Most times when an experience is to much for us we shut down and start using defence mechanisms blocking out, avoiding or burying what has happened. In this we sometimes get creative and put a different spin on the story so it feels better, we tell ourselves it was our fault get mad at ourselves and push it away.

Other times we allow ourself to identify as the victim in the situation. This is a defence mechanism most humans have built and use in some sort of way as as a shield or way out of the feeling. Instead of consciously dealing with the person place or thing in the moment we create a story from a wounded perspective and bury the story only from our wounded perspective. We are now holding a wounded victim energy that only holds a one sided wounded defensive version of the truth.


Don’t get me wrong here, we have all done this at some point in our lives. Most of us were never taught to deal with and resolve everything in the moment through compassion, awareness, patients and presence. I know I wasn’t! Most of us were just trying to survive in the moment without more fear, pain, shame, guilt embarrassment etc... and that was the natural response. Most likely it’s a learned behaviour from watching others use this in their life.


Why are these old thoughts and experiences (stories) coming up repetitively in the head all the time?

They just randomly come up or get triggered through conversation etc.

Are you ready for the magic answer!

They have always been coming up as an opportunity. I like to call them gifts from our higher self. A higher version of us that is guiding us through life to our next magical experience. This may not jive with what you believe and that’s ok. I’ll explain.

We as humans are magic, we literally just don’t remember. We are so powerful yet blocked by the amnesia we chose so we could have all these magical experiences. This is earth school!

These repetitive thoughts that keep coming back and “haunting” us so to speak. What is the purpose?

The true purpose they repetitively come back is to have you deal with them, Now! Not later, Now!

They are so intense every single time they come up because they have never been dealt with properly. It’s like caging a hungry angry lion or bear in the dark. What do you feel would happen when you open the cage? Not going to be pretty rite! Most likely not.

Because we didn’t have the tools and understanding to work through the energy in the moment with the person place or thing. We burry the story in that exact moment with that exact pain, fear, anger, sadness, feeling and Memories. Now for the rest of our lives until we deal with it, it comes back just as intense as it was when it happened. Also everytime it comes up we are being transported to the age and consciousness we held in that time. That’s why it feels so intense.

The Real reason this happens and keeps coming back everytime so intensely is because it’s being asked to be dealt with, to be consciously felt cleared and released. These painful memories don’t want to stay, they have never wanted to stay and keep beating us down. That’s just a (victim) story we made up to understand why they keep coming back through life. We can actually build a victim identity to all of these stories and just become a victim to life. Everything happens “To You” kind of identity.

This is quite normal seeing as we were never taught the ease and truth of dealing with things in the moment.


So now that you have a better idea of why and how it’s all happening.

How do you deal with these old stories and experiences as they intensely come up?


First of all it’s important to realize and remember that these are all just stories from another time and another place. Yes they were real, yes they were intense and yes they can be painful. The key is they are now old stories.

How you choose to manage, react or respond with these stories is up to you.

They are stories because they have already happened. They are stories because they are only one sided and they are stories because they are not real anymore meaning not happening rite now in the present. You are only holding the energy of the past story to the present moment.

We are not meant to hold ANYTHING that doesn’t feel good. I mean ANYTHING, Stories, experiences, feeling, actions, Anything! It has always been a choice what we do, we just didn’t get the memo. Lots of memos that didn’t get handed out through life. That’s why I’m sharing this here and now. I finally got the memo a while back and realized I needed to share.

Everytime these intense old stories/traumas/experiences come up they are saying “Hey, it’s time to let me go now, I’m going to start causing more (dis-ease) somewhere in your body”.

Yes, holding our negative past stories causes dis-ease and disease in the energy body. They are low vibrational and this energy is what turns into feelings of depression, fear, shame, anxiety, self worth issues, panic attack syndrome, stomach issues etc... these old stories are and have been creating your identity through life. Your current identity is full of negative low vibe stories that want to be cleared out so you can have a beautiful pain free life filled with Love, Joy, Passion, Compassion, Respect, Patients and Presence for Yourself and everyone around you, Always.


To consciously release these old stories for ever we must do some inner work. Pushing them away hasn’t and isn’t working well at all as we can see. It’s Just making them want to get out more intensely.


Journaling what comes up is key to the process. It can all get really jumbled up in the mind and the mind loves stories. The mind also loves pumping More fear and non sense into the already nonsense stories making them even more nonsense and tough to deal with.

Journaling gets it out of the head so you are able to function and work on clearing and releasing easier without and before creating more stories that aren’t real.


Journaling turns into a massive release for you to truly let go. Sometimes we hide things inside in fear of the invisible person that might read the words. PLEASE do yourself a favour! Write everything down that comes up. It doesn’t matter how angry viscous or hurtful it is. It needs to come out... this is part of the issue. It’s so deeply buried it may need to be written out a couple different times as some stuff can’t even be seen until a layer is removed. A lot of the energy can be released by letting out all the rage and feelings through expression. Yelling and screaming into a pillow or beating up a pillow or something soft until you exhaust yourself. Cry your eyes out, whatever comes. It all wants to get out and it’s all been trapped from the second you buried it.


I can’t stress enough to GET IT OUT!!


At this stage you can burn these journals/letters. It’s a very powerful way of releasing as we begin to remember how this all works.
